What is 'burstable bandwidth'?

Burstable bandwidth means you can increase the amount of data your internet connection can handle.

Not to be confused with internet speed, which refers to the maximum rate you can transfer data - bandwidth is the volume of information which can be sent over a connection in a specific amount of time.
