At Onecom, people are at the heart of our business – and we love it when our commitment to a happy, productive team is recognised by others.
That’s why we’re delighted to be shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Investors in People Awards: Leadership and Management, Best People Team and Employer of the Year.
We were especially pleased to be invited to enter the ‘Employer of the Year’ category as one of the top 20 employers in the country with an Investors in People Gold accreditation – and we’re now working towards our Platinum status.
Our People & Culture Director, Parysa Hosseini-Sech, commented “We put a huge amount of work into making Onecom a brilliant place to work so these nominations underline that. We also know the work doesn’t stop here and constantly evolve with a focus on how we support our people to progress and grow – and, in turn, provide fantastic service to our customers.”
Our awards submission focused on our People Plan, which empowers staff, encourages open communication, and serves as a reminder to all our people that we are here to work hard, but have fun while we do it.
We aim to ensure Onecom is consistently a great place to work, which in turn has helped us achieve a high level of top-quality customer service.
Just some of the things recognised by the judges include our induction and onboarding process, recruitment process and agile working model. We also carry out regular focus groups, Q&A sessions and employee surveys to get feedback and ideas from our staff on all areas of the business.
Hard work here at Onecom doesn’t go unnoticed, and our management teams really do recognise effort. We have quarterly Superstars employee recognition competitions to reward people who go the extra mile for our customers, their peers and the wider organisation.
