Hampshire Cricket proudly wore Onecom logos during Saturday’s NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston after signing a sponsorship deal with the telecommunications company.
Onecom, based in Whiteley, is a long-term partner of Hampshire Cricket, and supplies connectivity, fixed and mobile telephone services to the Ageas Bowl.
The company logo featured on the collars of all playing shirts and jumpers during Saturday’s semi-final against Nottinghamshire Outlaws in front of a sold-out crowd at Edgbaston on the biggest day in the domestic cricket calendar.
Onecom has had a long-standing partnership with Hampshire Cricket, sponsoring a stand at the Ageas Bowl, but this is the first time Onecom branding has appeared on the club’s kit.
Hampshire Cricket Chief Executive, David Mann said: “Hampshire Cricket have been working in partnership with Darren Ridge and the team at Onecom for many years now and we use their products and services across all of our business units at the Ageas Bowl. We are delighted to announce that this relationship has been further strengthened by this sponsorship of the Hampshire Cricket T20 kit ahead of Finals Day.”
Onecom, which has headquarters in Hampshire, is the UK’s largest independent business telecommunications provider, operating from 12 regional offices, including London, Cardiff, Southampton and Leeds.
Darren Ridge, Onecom’s CEO said: “As proud supporters and sponsors of Hampshire Cricket, we wanted to show our support at Edgbaston to complement our very visible presence at the Ageas Bowl.
“I am delighted to have reached this agreement and, like millions of cricket fans, watched proudly as Hampshire competed in the NatWest T20 Blast Finals.”
